NHS - General Information
NHS is a national honorary organization established to give recognition to students who excel in character, scholarship, leadership and service. Membership determined by a Faculty Council each Fall and new members are inducted during an evening ceremony.
Applications to become a member of NHS will be mailed to Junior and Senior students who meet the GPA requirement in September. To be eligible for membership, a student must meet the following requirements:
Juniors
- A 3.5 cumulative GPA (unweighted)
- Enrolled in a minimum of one Honors or AP course
- Participation in at least 4 HLR activities (clubs, sports or performance groups) over the past 4 semesters
- Demonstration of outstanding character and leadership qualities
Seniors
- A 3.5 cumulative GPA (unweighted)
- Enrolled in a minimum of one Honors or AP course
- Participation in at least 5 HLR activities (clubs, sports or performance groups) over the past 6 semesters
- Demonstration of outstanding character and leadership qualities
Members of NHS participate in school and community service projects.
Meetings will be held on Mondays approximately once a month.
Members will have the option of attending the meeting in Room 238 at 7:25 AM or 3:20 PM.

The dates for the 2nd semester meetings for the 26/27 school year are listed below.

- Monday March 1st
