Chipotle Fundraiser
The Leo Club is hosting a Chipotle restaurant fundraiser on Wednesday, January 21 from 4:00-8:00 pm at the Chipotle located at 11018 S. Cicero Avenue in Oak Lawn. Show this flyer for 25% of your sale to be donated to Leo Club. If ordering online, please enter the code MAA4BTN.
Bulldogs for a Better Community
The Activities Department is hosting a Bulldogs for a Better Community Service week January 26-29. All students are encouraged to attend one of these opportunities:
Monday - January 26 from 6:00-8:00 pm - Rising Stars Open Gym in the Main Gym.
Welcome our incoming 8th graders! We will have a DJ, basketball, volleyball,
badminton and more! Enter Door S3. Doors will close at 6:30 pm
Tuesday - January 27 from 3:20-8:30 pm - Feed My Starving Children Field Trip. Join
us in packing meal packs for children in third world countries. We will travel
to Feed My Starving Children for a meal packing event to be followed by
Portillo’s for dinner. Participants should bring money for dinner. Space is
limited so register early by picking up a permission slip on the windows
outside the Cafe and turning it in to Mrs. Swanson in the Activities Office (Rm
126).
Wednesday - January 28 from 3:20-5:20 pm - Blanket Making for Project Linus. Grab a
no sew fleece blanket kit and join us in the Cafe as we tie blankets for Project
Linus.
Thursday - January 29 from 3:20-5:20 pm - Calumet Park Library Field Trip. Join us as
we lead a winter craft session in the children’s section at Calumet Park
Library. Space is limited so register early by picking up a permission slip on
the windows outside the Cafe and turning it in to Mrs. Swanson in the
Activities Office (Rm 126).
Bulldog Dispatch Bowling Fundraiser
Bulldog Dispatch is hosting a bowling fundraiser on Saturday, January 31 from 1:00-3:00 pm at Palos Lanes located at 11025 SW Hwy, Palos Hills. You can register online. Cost is $40 per person and includes bowling, pizza and pop. Bowling, fun and raffle baskets. Come out to support Bulldog Dispatch as they fundraise for their trip to the Student Television Network National Competition.
Richards’ Got Talent
AACA is excited to announce the 2026 Richards High School Talent Show which will take place on Tuesday, February 3 at 5:00 pm in the Performing Arts Center! Whether you sing, dance, act, or have a unique talent to share, we want to see it. Sign up online and you’ll be contacted for an audition day/time. Start practicing and get ready to bring your best moves, biggest voices, and boldest talents. This is one show you won’t want to miss!
ACT Avengers: Get Ready for the ACT!
Students can now access Albert ACT Prep free of charge to prepare for the ACT. Join your school’s class, complete practice activities, and earn PawPride points while you study!
Thankful Thursday
We’re celebrating Thankful Thursdays-- a day each week dedicated to gratitude and appreciation. Let's take a moment to recognize students, staff, and others by writing thank you notes. Staff and students are encouraged to stop by the LRC or Main Office to write to someone they are thankful for and add it to the Thankful Thursday Boxes!
Math Lab Tutoring Help
The Richards Math Lab will be open during all lunch periods. The math lab is a place where you will be able to stop in during your lunch period to ask a math teacher any questions you may have on your math lessons/homework. This year, the math lab will be open the last 35 minutes of every lunch period. You must attend your homeroom for the first 15 minutes of your lunch period. After your homeroom, you will be able to go get your lunch and bring it up to the math lab in the following rooms.

Academic Supports & AP Tutoring
Richards offers students tutoring opportunities for English, math, science and ELL/world languages. Dates and times are listed on the Semester 1 Academic Support Schedule. We also have specialized tutoring opportunities for students enrolled in AP classes.

As e-cigarette use continues to rise among teens, it’s more important than ever for families to stay informed. The U.S. Surgeon General has created a helpful tip sheet for parents on how to talk with teens about the risks of vaping, how to start the conversation, and how to respond to common questions.
