Welcome to the HLR Musical

Meeting Dates/Times:  The musical meets for rehearsals starting in late February and early March. A rehearsal schedule will be given out once auditions are complete. It will list what days/times you need to attend depending on the role that you receive. Rehearsals are both after school and in the evenings.  When the production nears its show dates (May 9, 10, and 11) rehearsals run pretty much every day in order to get the show ready for the performances. 

What do we do?  We put on an awesome musical. We learn the music, act the scenes, stage the show, dance, build the set, wear costumes, etc. We do everything that is needed to put on a great show. 

How do I join?  Students will audition in late February/early March. Join this our Google Classroom page for announcements about audition dates/times. Students will need to prepare a part of a song for auditions from the show. (Mr. Hammann will pick what you need to prepare and provide you with practice tracks. He will also have a few times you can come in to get help learning the music.)  You will also need to prepare some scenes from the script to prepare for auditions or call-backs. Mr. Hammann will post these on google classroom as well. Students who audition and are selected will be in the show! If you are interested in crew, sound, or lighting, join the google classroom page. Mr. Hammann will have an application process that comes out once auditions for the cast are complete.
