Hispanic & Latino Cultural Club ¡Bienvenidos a nuestra página!
Welcome to our Hispanic & Latino Cultural Club at Richards High School!
Overview:
Hispanic & Latino Cultural Club is a student-led after-school club that offers its members exposure to the Spanish-speaking world and its rich, diverse cultures. Club members will be exposed to music, movies, art, clothing, and food! This is a social club that welcomes any student who wants to join... contrary to the name, there is no need to know any Spanish here or be of Hispanic or Latino descent! Club members should expect to learn, create, unwind, and make new friends & memories along the way.
Vision:
Students involved in our HLR Hispanic and Latino Cultural Club will be more tolerant of topics involving race, language, and customs. Students will also take on various responsibilities in the club and voice their opinions in a safe environment. They should also expect to have experiences that will help them in our increasingly multicultural nation and the world!
Mission:
1. Increase cultural awareness/exposure
2. Connect students to community issues
3. Foster a sense of security & community within the club
