Class of 2026 Spirit Wear Sale
The Richards Scholarship Committee has organized a Class of 2026 spirit wear sale. Sales will be taken online through Thursday, October 30. Orders will be delivered to the school the week of November 17. Proceeds will benefit the Scholarship Fund which is used to give scholarships to graduating seniors.
Clancy’s Scholarship Night
The Scholarship Committee is hosting a Scholarship Night at Clancy’s Pizza Pub located at 4624 W. 103rd Street in Oak Lawn on Friday, November 14 from 3:30-6:30 pm. Cost is $40 and includes pizza, appetizers, and drinks. This is a 21+ event to raise money for student scholarships. Tickets can be purchased online.
Thanksgiving Food Drive
The Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive hosted by Leo Club, National Honor Society, Student Council & Tri-M will be running in all 1st period classes, November 5-19. For every 2 items you donate, you will receive a raffle ticket. The more you give, the more chances you have to win fun prizes! The class that donates the most food will win a breakfast party! New this year! There will be themed days throughout the drive to earn extra 5 Star Points! Check out the themed days in 5 Star!
Fall Band Concert
The Fall Band Concert will take place on Wednesday, November 5 at 7:00 pm in the Performing Arts Center. All are welcome to attend.
Club Picture Day
Club Picture Day will take place on Thursday, November 6 from 3:30-5:00 pm in the Performing Arts Center. Click here for a list of clubs taking photos that day. There will be an additional picture day for clubs in January.
8th Grade Open House
We’re excited to invite you to take part in HLR’s Open House on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM! Families should enter through the Cafeteria Door S3. Come learn about all the opportunities Richards High School has to offer your student.
Leo Club Induction
The Leo Club will host their induction ceremony in the PAC on Thursday, November 13 at 7:00 pm. All are welcome to attend.
Thankful Thursday
We’re celebrating Thankful Thursdays-- a day each week dedicated to gratitude and appreciation. Let's take a moment to recognize students, staff, and others by writing thank you notes. Staff and students are encouraged to stop by the LRC or Main Office to write to someone they are thankful for and add it to the Thankful Thursday Boxes!
Math Lab Tutoring Help
The Richards Math Lab will be open during all lunch periods. The math lab is a place where you will be able to stop in during your lunch period to ask a math teacher any questions you may have on your math lessons/homework. This year, the math lab will be open the last 35 minutes of every lunch period. You must attend your homeroom for the first 15 minutes of your lunch period. After your homeroom, you will be able to go get your lunch and bring it up to the math lab in the following rooms.

Academic Supports & AP Tutoring
Richards offers students tutoring opportunities for English, math, science and ELL/world languages. Dates and times are listed on the Semester 1 Academic Support Schedule. We also have specialized tutoring opportunities for students enrolled in AP classes.
