welcome to the engineering Drafting and computer aided design program for Community High School District 218 a possibility of taking for courses during High School which allows the study of various types of engineering drawings processes ideas that fail to prepare students for school and career choices and Engineering or drafting CAD Fields these courses include drafting CAD 1 introduction to engineering drafting CAD drafting CAD to make Michael architectural engineering drafting Cash 3 engineering and principles of design the fourth course may include an independent study course that gives students a zebra background in specific areas of within their desired interest drafting CAD 1 introduction to engineering drafting allows students to learn about school and career choice in engineering related fields students will learn about sketching various engineering drawing techniques in areas of 2D and 3D design multi-view drawings and residential architecture in addition students will be introduced process is related to the design and Manufacturing while using the laser engraver and 3D printing drafting CAD to Mechanical architectural engineering drafting is a full-year course that focus on mechanical engineering and architectural engineering during first semester students focus on mechanical drawing creating 2D and 3D drawings most of you section view drawings and learn about fastening devices in addition during the semester students will prepare for the Autodesk AutoCAD certification exam this certification allows students to demonstrate their knowledge and Industry used software that will help during future careers during in semester students will focus on residential architecture they will learn about floor elevation and plot plans along with various other topics related to residential architecture during the architecture portion what's will use Autodesk Revit software and prepare for certification using this software as well last week by receiving a certain grade students can earn dual credit at Moraine Valley Community College that can be transfer to another College University drafting Cash 3 engineering and principles of design is a full-year course that will focus on mechanical engineering during first semester students focus on mechanical drawing leaving 2D and 3D drawings most of you section View and both of them early and working drawings in addition during the semester students will prepare for the Autodesk Inventor certification exam this certification allowed students to demonstrate their knowledge and Industry used software that will help during future careers lastly by receiving a certain grade students can earn dual credit at Moraine Valley Community College that can be transferred to another car which are University during the courses in the engineering drafting CAD program there are two fabulous opportunities that we would like to highlight first is this software certification exams the industry leaving Autodesk software that students use in class is used over all of the engineering fields in these courses students have the opportunity to use the same Autodesk AutoCAD Inventor Revit software industry through the learning of the software it will help prepare students for certification exams they will take while enrolled in the program that have proven to be valuable assets for students in college and careers After High School second is the Dual call credit option for the intermediate and advanced courses as a student if you sign up and receive a grade of C or better you will be eligible to receive the duo credit at Moraine Valley Community College in the drafting CAD to course you can big one credit hour for a e t 101 orientation to a e t careers and three credit hours for mgt101 introduction to drafting in the drafting CAD three course you can receive three credit hours for m d t 145 introduction to cat and three credit hours for md160 3D model mdesign when you finish high school and want to attend another college or university you can have the credits transferred from Moraine Valley our engineering drafting CAD instructors hope this gives you a better idea of both the program and the many opportunities and engineering careers if you have any further questions regarding the engineering drafting CAD program or specific questions please contact the instructor at the provided information for your building
