District 218 will use an E-Learning Day on Monday, November 18 due to street closures associated with the funeral procession for Chicago Police Officer Enrique Martinez. The street closures are anticipated to impact traffic patterns including bus transportation. Classes will not meet in person.

E-Learning Day Procedures
Teachers will post e-learning assignments through Google Classroom by 9:00 a.m. on November 18. Students should work on the assignments at home using their school-issued iPads or home computers. Students are NOT required to be online during a specific time or join Zoom sessions during the E-Learning Day.
Teachers will be available via email during normal school hours (8:00 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.) to answer questions that students or parents/guardians may have about accessing or completing e-learning assignments. Students and parents/guardians can send emails to teachers from the staff directory on the school homepage.
Due to possible technology or internet issues at home, students will have an opportunity after school resumes to submit their e-learning assignments. Students must complete and turn in their e-learning assignments by Thursday, November 21. Any students with missing or incomplete e-learning assignments will be marked absent for November 18 in Skyward.
