Meet the Teacher Night

You are cordially invited to attend our “Meet the Teachers Night” at Richards High School on Thursday, August 25, 2016. Please plan to arrive between 5:45 p.m. and 5:55 p.m. to allow yourself enough time to pick up the schedule.

After checking in with your child’s schedule we will first meet in the cafeteria and explain the school’s participation in Title 1, Part A School Wide Programs, our parent involvement policy and staff-student-parent compact. A written summary of Title 1 requirements, guidelines and Richard’s programs will be available at the meeting. We encourage your participation, as your input regarding our Title 1 School wide Program is important to us.

We will follow the schedule listed below with a 5-minute passing period between each class:

6:00-6:25 TITLE I Meeting

1st 6:30 – 6:35 P.M.
2nd 6:40 – 6:45 P.M.
3rd 6:50 – 6:55 P.M.
4th 7:00 – 7:05 P.M.
5th 7:10 – 7:15 P.M.
6th 7:20 – 7:25 P.M.
7th 7:30 – 7:35 P.M.
8th 7:40 – 7:45 P.M.
Open House 7:45 – 8:30 P.M.


The engaging activity of the evening is to learn more about the educational programs at Richards High School by following your student’s schedule. As you arrive at Richards, members of the NHS and NJROTC will be available to help you with directions. Teachers will be in their classrooms to discuss course objectives, grading procedures and student expectations. You will also have the opportunity to meet the guidance counselors, the building administrators and members of the student support staff.

At the conclusion of parents meeting with teachers in the classrooms, we will reconvene at 7:45 p.m. in our cafeteria for your student’s workroom/lunch period, light refreshments will be served. Representatives from athletics, activities and clubs will be available for information and questions.
